Hello! My name is Emily Volin, and I am a recent graduate of James Madison University’s Media Arts and Design program, with a distinct ambition for video editing. Over the three years I spent completing my degree, I took advantage of every opportunity to further develop my creative skills: from working in corporate filmmaking during my semester in London, to filming mini-documentaries about fellow students, to creating short films in our school’s film organization, Doghouse Productions.

Working on student films has given me the opportunity to experience filmmaking in all roles. Moving between crew positions in production design, sound management, directing, and every corner of film production, I have grown to appreciate the collaborative effort required to bring an idea to life. My passion for editing comes from a strong desire to showcase the hard work of every individual who has contributed to a project, resulting in a final product that brings pride to my whole team.
